The P.V. Dugong was constructed to serve as a Fisheries Protection patrol vessel. It is driven by two powerful MTU engines and it has the capability to move quickly over long distances in support of its role of Fisheries Protection work. Fitted out with comprehensive staff support facilities and the latest electronic communication and navigation equipment it is a valuable asset to its operators.
