Stern view of the Patrol Vessel HAMELIN The P.V. Hamelin was built especially for the Western Australian Fisheries as a Patrol Vessel along the Western Australian coastline. Driven by two powerful MTU Engines it has the capability to move quickly over long distances in support of its role of Fisheries Protection work and the monitoring of professional fishing industry practices. The onboard facilities are able to support a number of staff for lengthy patrol voyages. Fitted out with the latest electronic communication and navigation equipment it is a valuable asset to its operators as they work to ensure the long term viability of a valuable resource.
